Are things looking a little brighter in gym class these days? That’s because new lighting has been installed after six and a half years.

“We are required to have them inspected and changed about every five years,” says athletic director, Tim Brillo,  “many of the existing bulbs needed to be fixed.”

Brillo said that the requirement is in place because dim lighting could cause a safety hazard.

“It never really occured to anyone that the lights were due for a change,” says Brillo, “But now that they have been changed it is brighter and looks like a brand new facility.”
