After being closed since mid-February the LHS gym is now open.

“We’re back in business in every aspect, ” said Principal Gina Flanagan regarding the re-opening of the gym.

The structural engineer deemed the gym safe, according to Superintendent Theresa Kane. Kane said she is unsure of any damage to the gym, and the main concern right now is the auditorium.

“The time has come for the youth of Ludlow High School to enjoy the physical activity that gym class offers and I think everyone is ready to hop back in it,” said junior Ryan Gola.

Teachers and students alike are glad to have the gym back open.

“It’s good to have the gym back so that physical education and sports can get back to normalcy,” said physical education teacher Mr. Adam Graves.
