Lions Pride Announces Spring Spirit Week

The start of spring spirit marks the end of the year for seniors.

Last week, the Lions Pride google classroom (code: gd5xuws) announced all the information needed to participate in spring spirit week. This spirit week will run from May 8 through May 12; it will consist of themed outfit days, the annual powderpuff game, and a pep rally. 

 

Spring Spirit Week Theme Days

This year’s spring spirit days are as follows:

Monday, May 8: Twin Day

     There will be no call down, post a picture and tag your class Instagram to be counted.

     Twins must be from the same grade. 

Tuesday, May 9: Tie Dye Day

     Call down will be seventh period.

Wednesday, May 10: Class Color Day

     Freshmen – blue

     Sophomores – purple

     Juniors – green

     Seniors – red

     Call down will be fourth period.

Thursday, May 11: Character Day

     Call down will be second period.

Friday, May 12: Maroon and White Day

     Call down will be during pep rally.

 

Powder Puff Football Game

 

This year’s spring spirit activities will include the annual powder puff game. The game will take place on May 10 (rain date: May 11), with Freshmen playing the Sophomores from 6:30 to 7:30 and Juniors playing the Seniors from 7:30 to 8:30. There will be a four-way tug of war between the games. Tickets will be available shortly for only five dollars. 

Pep Rally

Each year, LHS students participate in the annual pep rally. This year, the event will take place during sixth and seventh period on May 12. Each class will be called to walk down to the athletic fields. From there, students will participate in various competitions and activities. Make sure to check your email as more information will be available shortly.
