LHS Junior/Senior prom on May 5

Many LHS upperclassmen will be attending prom on Saturday, May 5. The event will be hosted at Chez Josef in Agawam and will last from 6pm to 11pm.

Students will show off their best dress or tux to match the theme: the golden age of Hollywood. Many are already preparing for the night by ordering a limo or working on their tan.

Students nominated peers for an Oscar that will be voted on and awarded at prom. They will be based on three categories in the LIONS acronym: leadership, originality, and skill.

Dinner will include chicken francaise and chicken marsala, filet mignon, pan seared salmon, or a vegetarian option. There will also be an open soda, juice, and frozen drink bar.

“Although planning for prom can be stressful, it’s going to be fun to dance and see everyone dressed up for the night,” said senior Katie Pereira.
