Doctor For a Day
February 17, 2017
Baystate is holding a program “Doctor for a day,” on April 13 from 7:30 to 6:30.
This program “Doctor For a Day” is for juniors and seniors to shadow a volunteer physician to see the world from a doctor’s point of view for a day. There are doctors from a variety of medical fields who are offering to guide students and show them exactly what a typical day is like.
“The goal is to get exposure to the medical profession,” said freshman guidance counselor Jennifer Scibelli.
Scibelli states that she encourages any junior or senior who wants a career in medicine to participate in this event. She also adds that in the past people who participated enjoyed it and got a lot of knowledge about the profession.
“Colleges love to see that you have exposure to this career,” says Scibelli.
