For the average student, most would imagine their teachers with less than modern music for taste—opting for music ranging from the 80s and the 90s. Something we had assumed as well when we put thought into it.
The two of us had kept this perspective in mind until we decided to go around the school and ask both teachers and admins for two things: their favorite song and artist.
And honestly? We weren’t wrong when multiple teachers had referenced singers and songs you could find in your grandfather’s box of CDs.
While conducting and retrieving information, we realized that it wouldn’t have been too far if we didn’t put our own favorite songs and artists as well:
Arianna Podmore –
“Radiohead”
William Nogueira –
“TV Girl”
Before the list of teachers’ with their favorite songs and artists are shown, be aware we weren’t able to nab every person in the building! As much as we wanted to, the limitation of school work and general responsibilities had definitely added to the lack of time we had to ask a handful of staff.
This is also a reminder to all staff that yes…if we really need a picture of you for a random opinionated tier list over music…we will find it!
In the list below, it’s alphabetically sorted—have fun! Remember, the first title is the artist while the second title is the song with a link to its correlating music video!
At the very bottom you’ll find a tierlist the two of us made together ranking their songs and artists separately.
